CHELSEA WARNER

'It's Always Story and Feeling First'

Chelsea Warner is a multi-talented and detail-oriented producer, songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Sydney, Australia. Her work spans various genres such as forward-thinking R&B, pop, and hip-hop. She has earned an esteemed reputation among her peers for being a reliable co-writer and producer of quality music that furthers the boundaries of genre expectations. On top of providing production services to other artists within her community, she is also creating her own blend of alternative R&B through which she explores themes related to selfhood, girlhood, and growth.

She has achieved widespread recognition from music fans across Australia, receiving grassroots support from Triple J Unearthed, FBi Radio, MTV Australia, TikTok Australia, and Spotify Australia. Her music is now reaching an ever-widening international audience.

Signed to Universal Music Publishing globally as a writer, producer and artist, Chelsea is an unstoppable force in the music industry. In the last 12 months alone she has produced for acts like Anieszka, ANGE and Gemma Navarrete; remixed Liyah Knight’s ‘Threads’; co-written/featured on tracks by Urthboy and Nardean; and collaborated with Roman Kouder (Island Records France) on his EP ‘Real’.

Chelsea’s one-woman live shows have attracted audiences across Australia while her band-backed performances, including support slots alongside JOY., Vetta Borne, Stevan, Eluera, The Goods & Abby Bella May have earned her rave reviews.

THE ARTISTIC PROCESS

"When writing to a brief or top lining for an artist,
I spend time getting to know each other and the song will come out of this conversation."

RECORDING THE SINGLES 'NERVOUS' AND 'JULY'

"To take away the production and strip it back is very honest and telling.
If the song holds up in its raw form then it’s a good song."

PATHWAYS FOR YOUNG ARTISTS AND PRODUCERS

"Many creatives rely on the support that exists for grass roots communities in Australia.

In early 2022, Chelsea was a finalist in the Hip Hop/Rap/R&B/Soul category of the APRA Professional Development Awards.

With ambition, versatility and a vision to enliven and spearhead the Australian alternative R&B wave, she is fast becoming one of Australia’s most promising young producers. Her distinct sound has already won her fans from all corners of the globe as she continues to push boundaries with her unique style of music.

"I have always wanted to explore my potential as a producer
which will hopefully take me to different places in the world.."

"For example, Pharrell, I’m really inspired by the Neptunes and the commitment they’ve made
to uniqueness, and really love the authenticity of their production."

"There’s so many artists I’d like to work with who I find really inspiring.
People like Victoria Monét or Muni Long who’ve leveraged their career as writers and then become artists themselves."

"This is a two months residency in L.A. with mentors to help me develop my skills,
both in creativity and the music business. I want to know everything. That insatiable hunger for knowledge."

"The work that I do for other artists and their visions is also a reflection of my creativity,
walking the line between self-expression and honesty with their own creative self."
